Salted squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the salted habit
Salted in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Salted squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.98 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.98 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
