Sour 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Sour in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good 30 ml shortfill from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on sour: 20 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same 30 ml shortfill, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sour goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
