Sour cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Sour cartomizer here
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
A sour cartomizer from the cheapest options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.55 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Sour cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
