Sour sub-ohm kit IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Sour in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.26 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour sub-ohm kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on sour: 10 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a sub-ohm kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
