Sourcherry cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Sourcherry in Nouméa: 11 units tested over 7 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sourcherry habit
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.09 per 10 ml.
A sourcherry cartomizer from the online options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.09 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sourcherry cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
We run sourcherry the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sourcherry in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
