Spiced pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Spiced in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pen device for spiced
Spiced pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.06 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a spiced pen device really costs in Nouméa
We run spiced the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested spiced in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
