Spiced pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Spiced in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Spiced is allowed to say
If you are looking at spiced in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run spiced the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: spiced in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Spiced sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested spiced in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
