Sweet starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Sweet in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
Sweet starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at sweet in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet starter kit really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested sweet in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.

Frequently asked questions
How long does sweet in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
