Tobacco box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Tobacco in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Tobacco in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A tobacco box mod from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.81 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested tobacco in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.81 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
