Tobacco mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tobacco in Nouméa: 17 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a mesh tank for tobacco
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.52 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at tobacco in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a tobacco mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
A tobacco mesh tank from the pre-order options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.52 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tobacco in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
