Tobacco squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tobacco in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The honest read on tobacco: 7 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Tobacco in Nouméa reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tobacco in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
How long does tobacco in a squonk mod last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
