Tropical 10 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.22 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the 10 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 10 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at tropical in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 10 ml bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested tropical in a 10 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for 10 ml bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 10 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.

Frequently asked questions
Is tropical legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 10 ml bottle.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
