Tropical 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tropical habit
The honest read on tropical: 22 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
Tropical 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested tropical in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tropical the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.96 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does tropical in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
