Tropical 60 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tropical habit
We run tropical the same way in Nouméa: same 60 ml bottle, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.48 per 10 ml.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 60 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.48 per 10 ml.
How we tested tropical in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.48 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Nouméa survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
