Tropical in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 5 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What tropical costs in Nouméa
A tropical nicotine salt bottle from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.46 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.46 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical nicotine salt bottle really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested tropical in a nicotine salt bottle
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
