Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version

The honest read on tropical: 22 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a tropical pen device really costs in Nouméa
A tropical pen device from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.93 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Nouméa survives.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
Is tropical legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
