Tropical starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Tropical starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A tropical starter kit from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical starter kit really costs in Nouméa
We run tropical the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tropical in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.95 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for tropical in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
