Tropical in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What tropical costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Tropical starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical starter kit really costs in Nouméa
A tropical starter kit from the pre-order options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.69 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.69 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
