Vanilla mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Vanilla in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
We run vanilla the same way in Nouméa: same mesh tank, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.03 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested vanilla in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
