Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.37 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla nicotine salt bottle really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested vanilla in a nicotine salt bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.37 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.37 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
