Vanilla pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Vanilla in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What vanilla costs in Nouméa
A vanilla pen device from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.02 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Vanilla pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pen device really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at vanilla in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested vanilla in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.02 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF47 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does vanilla in a pen device last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
