Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.94 per 10 ml.
A vanilla starter kit from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.94 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in Nouméa
A vanilla starter kit from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.94 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised XPF53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.94 per 10 ml.
