Blackcurrant squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Blackcurrant in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the blackcurrant habit
The honest read on blackcurrant: 19 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.82 per 10 ml.
How we tested blackcurrant in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
How long does blackcurrant in a squonk mod last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
Is blackcurrant legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
