Blackcurrant starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Blackcurrant in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Blackcurrant is allowed to say
If you are looking at blackcurrant in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run blackcurrant the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested blackcurrant in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.81 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.81 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF43 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On blackcurrant the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.81 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does blackcurrant in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
