Caramel prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Caramel in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Caramel prefilled pod here
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you are looking at caramel in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: caramel in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
We run caramel the same way in Nouméa: same prefilled pod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested caramel in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.16 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
