Citrus pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with citrus in New Caledonia
We run citrus the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Citrus pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: citrus in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus pen device really costs in Nouméa
A citrus pen device from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.65 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
