Citrus pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for citrus
We run citrus the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.49 per 10 ml.
The short version: citrus in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus pod kit really costs in Nouméa
A citrus pod kit from the discounted options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.49 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.49 per 10 ml.
