Coffee RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Coffee in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a RDA for coffee
We run coffee the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The honest read on coffee: 18 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee RDA really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at coffee in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested coffee in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
