Cola box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Cola in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Cola box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: cola in Nouméa works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola box mod really costs in Nouméa
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.32 per 10 ml.
How we tested cola in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cola bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where cola goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.32 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How long does cola in a box mod last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
