Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
The honest read on frozen: 20 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run frozen the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: frozen in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Frozen in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested frozen in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.6 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.6 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF39 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
