Licorice cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Licorice in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the licorice habit
The honest read on licorice: 23 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Licorice in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at licorice in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested licorice in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.79 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.79 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF33 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
