Licorice prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Licorice in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 8 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Licorice prefilled pod here
The honest read on licorice: 6 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: licorice in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Licorice sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested licorice in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.4 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does licorice in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
