Mint RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Mint in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mint habit
Mint RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A mint RDA from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.57 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: mint in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint RDA really costs in Nouméa
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.57 per 10 ml.
How we tested mint in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in Nouméa survives.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mint in a RDA last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.57 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
