Mint starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Mint in Nouméa: 11 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What mint costs in Nouméa
A mint starter kit from the cheapest options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.34 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.34 per 10 ml.
The short version: mint in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint starter kit really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at mint in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested mint in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.34 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
