Pear pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Pear in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Pear pen device here
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.21 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at pear in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear pen device really costs in Nouméa
A pear pen device from the pre-order options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.21 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where pear goes wrong
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.21 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
