Plain mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What plain costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at plain in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.91 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

If you are looking at plain in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested plain in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
