Plain pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.18 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Nouméa
We run plain the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.18 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
