Plain starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Plain in Nouméa: 11 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Plain is allowed to say
The honest read on plain: 11 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.54 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain starter kit really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plain in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Nouméa survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
