Salted vape pen IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What salted costs in Nouméa
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a vape pen running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Salted in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted vape pen really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested salted in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest vape pen available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How long does salted in a vape pen last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.52 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF68 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
