Sour mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a mesh tank for sour
A sour mesh tank from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.69 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The honest read on sour: 12 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Sour in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sour in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
