Sourcherry cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Sourcherry in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 6 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a cartomizer for sourcherry
The honest read on sourcherry: 10 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.39 per 10 ml.
The short version: sourcherry in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Sourcherry sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested sourcherry in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
