Sweet mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Sweet in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
We run sweet the same way in Nouméa: same mesh tank, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: sweet in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on sweet: 24 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF44 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.36 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
How long does sweet in a mesh tank last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
