Tropical pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pen device for tropical
A tropical pen device from the value options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
