Tropical prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Tropical is allowed to say
We run tropical the same way in Nouméa: same prefilled pod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested tropical in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Nouméa survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Refill cost | XPF3.47 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does tropical in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.47 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
