Tropical starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Tropical in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
A tropical starter kit from the online options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.02 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Tropical in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical starter kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on tropical: 10 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.02 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
