The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pen device really costs in Nouméa
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.62 per 10 ml.
How we tested vanilla in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.62 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
