Vanilla in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for vanilla
Vanilla in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.58 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
