Vanilla prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist — Iqosfrenchpolynesia
Vanilla in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.58 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Vanilla in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested vanilla in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in Nouméa survives.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.58 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
